Denise Duncan is a lifelong teacher, technologist, and healer who brings over four decades of experience in computer and information sciences to her current work as a full-time Reiki Master and teacher. With 18 years in the information technology industry—including roles as a software engineer, project manager, and entrepreneur—and 22 years in higher education, Denise understands the fast-paced demands of modern life and the importance of balance, presence, and inner renewal.

She spent over two decades at Regis University, where she served as a respected faculty member, mentor, and leader in the field of computer science. Earlier in her career, Denise was a founding partner in one of the first companies to bring video-on-demand technology to market in the 1990s—an innovation well ahead of its time.

Throughout her academic and technical career, a deeper calling stirred quietly beneath the surface: a passion for healing, energy, and the unseen connections that weave through all things. Denise’s Reiki journey began with this inner pull and blossomed into a life-changing path of service and transformation.

She became a Usui/Holy Fire II Reiki Master in 2017, a Karuna Reiki Master in 2019, and an Animal Reiki Practitioner in 2022. Today, Denise teaches Reiki at all levels—beginner to master—with clarity, compassion, and a profound respect for each student’s unique journey.
